Further information: Soukka is characterised by its proximity to the sea and its glorious
natural setting. The nearby Suvisaaristo islands have not only
beautiful walking paths but also a beach for swimming. There are
several day care centres and an primary school in the area. Everyday
services can be found within walking distance at Soukka shopping
centre, while Lippulaiva shopping centre in Espoonlahti or the Iso
Omena Shopping Center in Matinkylä cater for wider needs. Soukka is
located around 25 minutes from Helsinki by car and even by bus the
journey is only a little over half an hour. Once the western
extension of the Helsinki metro is completed, using public transport
will be even more flexible.
